My younger daughter fell in love with Tama, a Lori doll by Our Generation (OG), so we had to take her home! We bought her at Mastermind Toys for $19.99. The Lori dolls sell for a bit more than the Our Generation mini dolls, which are priced at $12.99. So let’s take a look at this doll to see if she is worth the extra $7. You may want to visit our review of the Our Generation mini doll so you can compare for yourself.
Here is Tama clothed on the left and nude on the right. I must admit her outfit is adorable! I love the fur skirt! Her body looks the same as the OG mini doll.
Here she is from the side.
This what she looks like from the back.
She has strings in her joints, like the OG mini dolls.
Here she is demonstrating her flexibility.
She has a beautiful face.
In this photo you can see how densely her hair is distributed. I like the added detail of the painted scalp.
Here you can see Tama’s meet outfit. She did come with a purse, an accessory that the OG mini doll didn’t have. Her skirt has an elastic waistband, the sweater uses a soft velcro closure on the back. The underwear is very basic, no elastic or finishing on the edges. Her shoes are one solid plastic piece. The purse is an envelope style and closes with a tiny white button.
I didn’t notice too much of a difference between the Lori and OG mini dolls. I have come to the conclusion that for the extra $7, we got a purse and a more stylish outfit.
