Review of Maplelea’s Anne of Green Gables Outfit

Growing up on the East Coast of Canada, Anne of Green Gables was a big part of my childhood.  I had always wanted an Anne doll, when I saw that Maplelea not only made a doll that looked like Anne, but had an Anne outfit I was hooked!

Maplelea’s Anne of Green Gables outfit is part of thier Heritage Outfits collection, and sells for $52.

I was really impressed with the quality of this outfit.  My only complaint is that currently on the Maplelea website the photos of Anne’s boots are quite different than the boots I received.  From the photos on the website, it looks like the boots have shiny black buttons, and open on the outside.  As you saw in the video above, that is not currently the case with the boots.  I am sure there is a good reason for the change, however Maplelea should consider updating their photos online.

I hope you enjoyed our first YouTube video.  We look forward to making more in the future!

If you are an Anne fan like myself be sure not to miss Anne of Green Gables is return to television!  Check out the trailer below.  It debuts Monday February 15th at 6pm ET/PT on YTV.

*As always on our site, prices are listed in Canadian dollars(CAD) unless otherwise stated.

  2. Can I just congratulate you on a phenominal blog and a great video as well. Anne’s outfit is perfect and I am impressed by the snap closures. It is expensive but I will definitely try to copy that outfit for Saige. My way of keeping costs down is to sew a lot of the outfits and trying to do some crafts for them. I haven’t done much yet, craft-wise but I keep seeing all the fantastic ideas on pinterest.
